We have couples ask us quite often when the best time of year to get married on the beach is. I would have to say the most popular months are April, May, September, October and even early November. This is when the weather is perfect and the rates of venues is less.
These are popular months because the weather is perfect and the price of renting a beach house or condo isn’t as much as during the summer months. If getting married in April I would recommend doing it after the Spring Break weeks though. The beaches are quite crowded with college kids during these weeks.
Getting married during these months (as long as there is no Holiday the week or weekend you are looking at getting married) the beaches are also not as crowded as they are in the summer and Holiday weeks. So you do have a greater chance of having a more private and intimate ceremony.
We do quite a bit of weddings during the summer months when kids are out of school because this is the only time some couples can get to the beach with the kids involved. Just keep in mind if getting married in the summer it is HOT in the south. We have days where the heat index can reach 100-110 degrees. So be prepared for the heat if you are getting married in the summer.
